I was a Bette in my past life...........

This is pretty much dead on me............how funny. Who are you?

You Are a Bette!

mm.bette_.jpg

You are a Bette -- "I must be strong"

Bettes are direct, self-reliant, self-confident, and protective.

How to Get Along with Me

  • * Stand up for yourself... and me.

  • * Be confident, strong, and direct.

  • * Don't gossip about me or betray my trust.

  • * Be vulnerable and share your feelings. See and acknowledge my tender, vulnerable side.

  • * Give me space to be alone.

  • * Acknowledge the contributions I make, but don't flatter me.

  • * I often speak in an assertive way. Don't automatically assume it's a personal attack.

  • * When I scream, curse, and stomp around, try to remember that's just the way I am.

What I Like About Being a Bette

  • * being independent and self-reliant

  • * being able to take charge and meet challenges head on

  • * being courageous, straightforward, and honest

  • * getting all the enjoyment I can out of life

  • * supporting, empowering, and protecting those close to me

  • * upholding just causes

What's Hard About Being a Bette

  • * overwhelming people with my bluntness; scaring them away when I don't intend to

  • * being restless and impatient with others' incompetence

  • * sticking my neck out for people and receiving no appreciation for it

  • * never forgetting injuries or injustices

  • * putting too much pressure on myself

  • * getting high blood pressure when people don't obey the rules or when things don't go right

Bettes as Children Often

  • * are independent; have an inner strength and a fighting spirit

  • * are sometimes loners

  • * seize control so they won't be controlled

  • * figure out others' weaknesses

  • * attack verbally or physically when provoked

  • * take charge in the family because they perceive themselves as the strongest, or grow up in difficult or abusive surroundings

Bettes as Parents

  • * are often loyal, caring, involved, and devoted

  • * are sometimes overprotective

  • * can be demanding, controlling, and rigid

This Is Not Mrs. Claus's Closet Or Work Shop

Well, the closet in the master bedroom is done, cleaned and organized.
My list have been made for decorating and cleaning for the holidays.
I have bought my christmas cards and have my list ready to fill them out.

I have staged the great room fire place mantle for decorating tomorrow night.
The great room will be completed by this week.

My menu list for the holidays have been made. My dear husband has a list of honey do's on the fridge to be completed by Dec. 10th.

All is well here. Please send in your comments on how you go about decorating
your home for the holidays. Do you stage each room or do you put up all your
trees and then go back and decorate. Please share some of your easy steps to
decorating.

Melissa at Heart and Home........An Award For Me?

I am jumping up and down and my husband came in to the office to see what
was going on. Every week he buys me $5.00 worth of cash scratch off lottery
tickets and he thought I had won some big money. I told him I had my very first
blog from one of my blog freinds. Thank you Melissa you are so kind.

Here are the five things I have always wanted to do:
1. Have a big wedding; we eloped in 1969.
2. Spend more time with my girls, and grandkids.
3. Make my mother well again.
4. Have peace in this world and know that I contributed to it.
5. Wish that there where no more homeless people or sex affenders against children.

Now, I pass this award to all you Blog friends who are new and don't have
an award yet! And you know who you are. And to Melissa please check her site out; she has an amazing
home.

It's Been Too Long of a Ride

Our train has finally come to an end. I am ready for the change in this
great country of ours. Just so honored to have been apart of the history
that was made last nite.

God be with those who holds in their hands all the people of this nation
and let god lead him thru these trouble times.

Our Vote Counts

As I got out of the car this morning in the little town of Franklin Indiana, I thought to myself where is all the voters. There was no line outside the door
of the little firehouse. It was 6:58 a.m. and I walked toward the door.

I was fifth in line and my husband was directly behind me. I said a little prayer
and ask god to give us the kind of president that would help all the people in need at this particular time. And to give me strenght to vote for person that I had made
up my mine to vote for and still feel good about it after I left the fire house.

I must have made the choice that I thought was right; I felt good about my choice
marking the straight vote. How easy was that. What I don't feel good about is
the job losses, food prices, gas prices and our 401 profits at an all time high
or loss. Things have got to chance and I hope our country is going in the right
direction from all our votes today.

It's scary with all you hear about on the nightly news. So much to think about
so I took a walk last nite around our field to a fire place I saw comming from one of our neighbors house. The fire felt good and I visited with two their little
girls. I thought how sweet they are and they have know idea what is going on in this country call America.

I left a short time later and thought of my own grandchildren on the way home.
My hope is for them to have a better life than what is going on this last past 4 years. I hope that they will have homes, jobs and peace in American.

Just had to blog about this, this morning.............
